Matomo is used to analyse the behaviour of the website visitors to identify potential pitfalls; not found pages, search engine indexing issues, which contents are the most appreciated… Once the data is processed (number of visitors reaching a not found pages, viewing only one page…), Matomo is generating reports for website owners to take action, for example changing the layout of the pages, publishing some fresh content… etc.

Matomo is processing the following personal data:

• Pages generation time

10. Freshdesk

We use the customer service system Freshdesk (hereinafter referred to as "Freshdesk"), a service of Freshworks Inc. (1250 Bayhill Drive, Suite 315, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA; hereinafter referred to as "Freshworks"), to accept and manage contact requests. When you contact us (via contact form or email), your details will be stored in Freshdesk for processing the contact request.

Freshworks complies with the data protection regulations of the „US privacy shield" and is registered with the US Department of Commerce's Privacy Shield program. In addition, we have a contract with Freshworks for the use of Freshdesk. By this contract Freshworks assures that they process the data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and guarantee the rights of the person or user concerned.

The corresponding data processing takes place on the basis of GDPR Section 6 (1) S. 1 lit. b and may be necessary for the execution of the contract with you or pre-contractual measures. In addition, data processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to GDPR Section 6 (1) S. 1 lit. f. Our legitimate economic interest lies in optimising the management of contact enquiries and improving customer service in order to provide our services.

11. Friendly Captcha

We use Friendly Captcha to protect our contact forms from spam and abuse, a service of Friendly Captcha GmbH, Am Anger 3-5, 82237 Woerthsee, Germany.

Using proof-of-work, this solution employs a fundamentally new approach to spam prevention and therefore does not depend on tracking users and exploiting personal data.

We integrate program code from Friendly Captcha into certain areas of its website (e.g. in the contact form). This means that the visitor’s device connects to Friendly Captcha’s servers in the context of the protected area (e.g. when sending a contact form).

The visitor’s browser is sent a puzzle from Friendly Captcha. The complexity of the puzzle depends on various risk factors. The visitor’s device solves the puzzle using certain system resources and sends the solution to the Service User’s web server. The Service User’s server contacts the Friendly Captcha server via an interface and receives a response stating whether the puzzle has been solved correctly by the end device.

The visitor’s browser transfers connection data, environment data, interaction data and functional data to Friendly Captcha. Friendly Captcha analyzes this data and determines how probable it is that the visitor is a human user or a bot; it then transmits the result to the Service User.

Depending on this outcome, the Service User can deal with the access to its website or individual functions as human or potentially non-human.

All data will only be used to identify and deal with potential bots and risks as described above. The purpose of the processing is therefore to ensure the security and functionality of websites.

• Friendly Captcha does not use the data to identify a natural person or for marketing purposes.
• Friendly Captcha does not store personal data from the visitor. Data that may identify the visitor, such as IP addresses, are anonymized via one-way hashing.
• Friendly Captcha does not use HTTP cookies and does not store any data in the browser’s persistent storage.

12. Statutory regulations and data processing purpose

By using our Site and our services, you have entered your data willingly and we process your data with the purpose of:

• Determining service eligibility - are both parties able to enter a contract
• Contract fulfillment - allowing us to fulfill the service you signed up for

We forward the information you enter to the financial advisors of Beacon Group. We do not forward any information you enter on MyExpatTaxes or other sites affiliated with Software Spinner GmbH.

Beyond that, we will only forward your data to legal authorities as dictated by law or if necessary to press legal claims of Software Spinner, especially if necessary to press claims regarding contractual obligations.

Regarding all data relating to you, you have the right to get a report on it, correct it, have it deleted or amended. You may rescind your agreement to have your data transferred to any third party as well.
